About me

I’m Sebastian Severinsen — a live sound engineer and audio producer with a Master’s in Creative Music Technology. I work across live performance, post-production, and studio recording, creating immersive sonic environments for concerts, installations, and recordings.

What I Do

I specialize in creating immersive sonic environments across multiple genres:

  • Live Sound Engineering — Mixing, monitoring, stage management, and post-production for live performances
  • Sound Design — Crafting textures and atmospheres for music, film, and installations
  • Generative Music — Exploring algorithmic composition and audio synthesis

Musical Style

My influences span ambient, experimental electronics, rock, metal and noise. These genres shape my approach to sound design — the tension between atmosphere and intensity is a constant theme in my work. I produce music that balances slow-burn soundscapes with crushing distortion, looking for moments where silence and signal collide.

Education

  • Master’s in Creative Music Technology — NTNU, Trondheim (Aug 2020 – Aug 2023). Focused on sound design, synthesis, and audio programming
  • Bachelor’s in Music Technology — NTNU, Trondheim (Aug 2017 – Aug 2020)

Gear & Interests

I’m interested in vintage synthesizers, effects pedals, and recording equipment. I play guitar and explore audio synthesis whenever I get the chance.
